Rumiko Takahashi, who is still at the forefront of her field, made an historic debut with her first manga Urusei Yatsura. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan, selected episodes of the original work have been adapted into a four-cour TV anime!

Directed by Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura, who also directed Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Series composition by Yuko Kakihara of Cells at Work!, Naoyuki Asano of Osomatsu-san and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! The animation is produced by david production of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series and Fire Force series.

The Extraordinary couple of the main character and "darling" Ataru Moroboshi and Heroine Lum are played by Hiroshi Kamiya and Sumire Uesaka.
